LAW LIBRARY SERVICES CHANGE MARCH 1. READ MORE...
UPDATE: April 26
Beginning May 10, 2021, law library operations will return to the Government Center. The law library physical space will remain closed to the public. Curbside pickup will resume, the book drop will be available for returns, and reference librarians will continue to be available to assist patrons with legal research questions via phone (612-348-2903) and email (email@example.com).
The trial of former Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin is set to begin in March. To ensure the safety of staff and residents, Hennepin County will be restricting access to the Government Center to court-related services and implementing additional security measures in the building on March 1, 2021.
Law library staff will be working from a temporary location beginning March 1 and will not have access to the Government Center or physical book collection until after the trial concludes in late April or early May.
Beginning Monday, March 1:
- Curbside pickup will be suspended
- Book drop will be unavailable (no late fees will accrue)
- All due dates will be extended
Law library staff will continue to be available by phone (612-348-2903) and email (firstname.lastname@example.org). We will use our extensive online collection and work with neighboring law libraries to provide you with the information you need. Between now and the end of the business day on Friday, February 26, we encourage you to check out materials you might need over the next two months.
Thank you for your continued understanding as we navigate these unprecedented times. Our goal is always to give you the highest level of legal research assistance and access to legal information.
